WHAT IS COUNSELLING

The term "Counseling" is not easily translatable. "To counsel" translated from Italian means "advise", "recommend". In fact one of the main precepts of Counseling
is precisely the total abstention from providing advice or direction to his client. Consequently the Italian translation that best matches the actual job is "helping relationship" or "talk of aid" (the Latin word "consultation" means "come to the aid of"). The definition of approved
Counseling at the National Meeting on 02/13/2006 FAIP of Ostia is therefore as follows:

"Counseling is a relationship help moving from the analysis of customer problems, it is proposed to build a new vision of these problems and to implement an action plan to achieve the objectives desired by the client (decision making, improve relationships, raise awareness, manage emotions and feelings, overcome conflicts).

Counseling is therefore a method of counseling based on the concept of active listening and full attention to internal resources and potential of the person. The strong focus on the needs and resources of individuals is ensure that the Counseling
not present as a model of drive, but as a plurality of flexible operational methods oriented to define a path of development and personal development (individual and group). Not the counselor to determine what model it is appropriate to the client, but it is the customer, with their own specific needs, to guide the establishment of more effective intervention model.

What does a counselor AND WHAT ARE ITS QUALITY 'ESSENTIAL?

The Profession Counselor stems from the humanistic psychology and therefore has no therapeutic purpose, but clearly distinguishes itself in an address social and relational. The Counselor is not a psychologist or psychotherapist, is not implementing counseling or therapy, does not dispense medical treatment or drugs and is clearly not authorized the exercise of these professions. The Counselor has a rather distinct and specific role. Concretely, the Counselor is a professional who receives a customer (this is the term used to describe the person who turns to a counselor) who report discomfort or a call for help.
Through the interview, the counselor helps the client in the exploration, identification of the problem and finding a workable solution. But all this does the counselor assigned to the customer an active and involved. And 'why the counseling is defined as a person-centered approach and experience of the subject. This means that the person is, the customer, to lead the process help, and the Counselor is not presented as an "expert" but as
facilitator of the dynamics involved in the helping relationship.
's intervention is not psychological, it is an intervention of a few sessions in which the counselor works on the here and now, namely that the person treating door without introspective analysis and projected back in time. It 'important to clarify this feature
intervention because people do not always feel they face a challenging and not always psychological problems should be treated with the tools of psychology. Only if the counselor deems appropriate, based on a professional evaluation, customer can send the
a professional with specific training in the psychological or medical or whatever.
Carl Rogers, one of the leading figures in humanistic psychology and "father" acknowledged Counseling, Counselor believes that in addition to a flexible level of competence must possess certain basic qualities: active listening, empathy, unconditional acceptance and honesty.
In conclusion, the goal of counseling is to help the person a condition of "empowerment", ie the possibility to fully assume the responsibility to live a full and satisfying life at the level of self-perception and self-esteem and their ability
in terms of relationships interpersonal.

COUNSELING IN ITALY AND THE CODE OF CONDUCT

The professional counselor is born in the 30s in America, arrived in Europe through Great Britain, where it is stated in a short time with roles and functions and finally landed in Italy in the 70s. The number of schools and members
Counselor to the different trade associations is growing and it does provide well for the future of this new emerging profession. Counseling is located within the list of professions surveyed the list of National Council for Economy and Labour (CNEL), provided
by the Italian Constitution (Art.99). The Board of Directors of
FAIP (Federation of Italian Associations of Psychotherapy) June 7, 2003 also approved the Code of Ethics Counselors. Every profession has its own accredited and recognized code of ethics that protect and guide the profession in question

MASTER IN COUNSELING EMERGENCY

The MA in counseling as emergency operators can offer help and support in very critical situations in terms emotional events related to collective disaster (Eg natural disasters or catastrophes such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, shipwrecks, floods, social unrest, public health emergencies, etc.).. During training, it is necessary that the operator can get in touch so deep and true with these issues and their doubts and fears. While exploring their methods and natural resistance, is helped to find in themselves the essential resources to manage stress and intervene effectively has learned.

The teaching approach of the course allows, in addition to learning theory, also a fundamental practical-experiential path, enabling management to make concrete experience of positive self and others, a situation of deep emotional crisis.

INTEGRATED METHODOLOGY

The dynamic model

The dynamic model, paternity Freud, is characterized as useful and handy reference model for the multiple theoretical references that over 900 have been integrated into its paradigm and enabling observe individual behavior, interpersonal and team in an integrated perspective that highlights the complexity.

Attention is focused on research of the dynamics of the human mind, in reference to the motivational drives internal move and direct our daily lives, motives of which we are not always sufficiently aware. From research and awareness motivational, preparatory to the development of personal resources, comprises the training of operators, whose action takes place during natural disasters subjecting victims and rescuers to experience the limits of reality never before experienced.

The theoretical and experiential work, as well as provide the operator with the means needed to meet the relief work will have to consider starting up all the resources necessary to protect the operator that his mental and physical health. The experiential part, parallel to the theoretical training, will have its focus in the acquisition of an ever-increasing ability to identify, describe, classify their motivation to action, to make more clear the organization of the subjective context within which the choice has emerged the training course. For this reason, the work will be highly customized.

approach

body body work suggests that the course makes it possible to recognize and harmonious development of the potential of each person, integrating the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. This integration can be tested through exercises based on listening, expression and body movement, seen as the main instrument that allows states to hear and recognize the body's energy, moods, emotions, the psychological mechanisms and their posture and others.

Among other things, as part of an emergency, the work of self-knowledge and the different levels of awareness, and body based on the approach that draws on the experience, is intimately connected with the activity prevention, as determined by the contrast of the risk of emergencies caused by various disasters or major accidents, as necessary for the implementation of effective and efficient action by rescue workers and volunteers engaged in the activities of civil protection.

Ultimately, the proposed course aims to put the rescuers in terms of not having to rely exclusively on the use of personal emotional resources. The conduct psychic hangover symptoms in conjunction with "burn-out", have often been found in subjects that rescuers were working without a proper psychological preparation, is not always appropriate to the emergency response scenarios.

transpersonal model and method Biotransenergetics

The transpersonal vision and methodology Biotransenergetics are able to provide the theoretical and practical tools for advancing beyond the boundaries of ordinary consciousness. The transpersonal vision, supported by the new holistic paradigm emerging in the scientific landscape, calls for the full potential of the individual and combines the contribution of evolutionary ancient traditions with the most innovative scientific research.

Under the transpersonal model, the reference methodology is Biotransenergetics, a discipline that teaches the mastery of mental attitudes and emotional states through the inner experience of the different states of consciousness. It also favors strengthening the creative, emotional, relational and intuitive operator, for the benefit creativity and openness in the intervention field.

will in particular be encouraged to develop an attitude that encourages a 'natural natural' in response to the stimulus, through additional polarity of transcendence and inclusion of every event. This attitude is called 'Another Way' and is expressed in seven basic axioms: Look, instead of thinking, Stay, instead of going away, you feel instead of see why; facts, not problems; Rely instead of checking, accepting, instead to fight; liability, instead of delegating.

COUNSELING EMERGENCY

The school counseling in the form of the emergency operators can offer help and support in very critical situations in terms of emotional, especially due to deaths, accidents particularly serious and disastrous group events (eg natural disasters or catastrophes such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, shipwrecks, floods, social unrest, public health emergencies, etc.).. The operator intervention is intended to mean all the people involved, meaning both the victims and family members alike, and perhaps most importantly, the same fellow rescue workers (staff and order the armed forces, volunteers, emergency medical personnel, etc...) They are, in fact, often suffer from low support in carrying out its functions, whereas the maintenance of a strong inner balance is mainly based on the best outcome of a rescue operation (even after a long time).

can take the course all those who wish to offer the contribute as volunteers or professionals in helping relationships (counselor), possess at least a high school diploma.

The school also proposes to staff at various levels in the intervention of an emergency (fire, medical staff, employees of public security, etc..) Brief training modules (masters and professional courses).

In emergency situations, are at the forefront key issues such as survival and death, meaning of life and of its social role, a spirit of cooperation or conflict, compassion or emotional distance, etc.. In addition, all actors involved express a state of consciousness changed, which alters the normal modes and benchmarks. During training, it is necessary that the operator can get in touch so deep and true with these issues and their doubts and fears. While exploring their methods and natural resistance, is helped to find in themselves the essential resources to manage stress and intervene effectively has learned.

The teaching approach of the course allows, in addition to learning theory, a fundamental practical-experiential path, enabling management to make concrete experience of positive self and others, a situation of deep emotional crisis.

Integrated Methodology Dynamic-physical-transpersonal

The methodology integrates contributions from the dynamic model, body and transpersonal. The dynamic model

The dynamic model, Freud's paternity, the counselor in training for emergencies, is characterized as useful and handy reference model for the multiple theoretical references that over 900 have been integrated into its paradigm and allow to observe individual behavior, interpersonal and team in an integrated perspective that highlights the complexity.

The psychological definition of the dynamic terms in common parlance refers to the image of a play of internal forces and external operating in an individual and which is, in a certain field at a given time. The word dynamic should not be construed as a phenomenon of dynamic psychology to counteract a static but as a focus on research of the dynamics of the human mind, in reference to internal motivational drives that move and direct our daily lives, reasons for which are not always we are sufficiently aware. From research and awareness
motivational preparatory to the development of personal resources, comprises the training of operators who have chosen to engage in a profession for help and support, where work is done during natural disasters subjecting victims and rescuers experiences to the limits of reality never before experienced.

The operator training, according to the reference dynamic model, will cover both the subjective acquisition of specific skills and the ability to use tools and intervention models in structured protocols and international quotas.
The theoretical and experiential work, as well as provide the operator with the means needed to meet the relief work, must take into account starting up all the resources necessary to protect the operator that his mental and physical health. The experiential part, parallel to the theoretical training, will have its focus acquisition of an ever-increasing ability to identify, describe, classify their motivation to action, to make more clear the organization of the subjective context within which showed the choice of curriculum. For this reason, the work will be highly customized.

In view of the quantity and heterogeneity of human motivation, it is not possible to list them, so iterating counselor training for the emergency will be taken as a reference guide to the best-known empirical classifications of modern GROUNDS OF JOSEPH LICHTENBERG , whose studies are at the crossroads between Freudian psychoanalytic tradition and the most recent systematic surveys of childhood and argues that the existence of five major motivational systems: 1) psychological adjustment of physiological needs, 2) attachment, affiliates, employees, and 3) assertivita'individuale: exploration and dependence, 4) aggressiveness, 5) forms of sensuality. The five systems will be observed in their interaction and complexity, with particular emphasis on the exploration of experiences related to the internal motivational system COOPERATIVE, alleging various forms of bonding and socialization, the motivational system and self-affirmation, a source of conflict and competition. All
in order to help the operator during the training process, to reconstruct its history, recognize their own projects, enhance their resources, learn to recover its balance after constructively critical and painful experiences, which may be repeatedly exposed in performing his / her work.

approach

body body work suggests that the course makes it possible to recognize and develop the potential of each harmoniously integrating levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. This integration can be tested through exercises based on listening, expression and body movement, seen as the main instrument that lets you hear and recognize the energy states of the body, moods, emotions, the psychological mechanisms and their posture and others.

Through this journey of personal development, which requires specific training, students acquire the skills necessary to develop relationships to help themselves and others and thus facilitate the development of resources of each individual in the various contingencies, but especially in emergency situations, as is notorious, are particularly difficult moments in the lives of people affected and the rescuers.
Among other things, as part of an emergency, the Working knowledge of themselves and the different levels of awareness, based on the approach and body that draws on the experience, is intimately connected with the prevention activities, both determined to counter the risk of emergencies caused by various disasters or major accidents, as necessary for the implementation of effective and efficient action by rescue workers and volunteers engaged in the activities of civil protection.

Ultimately, the proposed course aims to put the rescuers in terms of not having to rely exclusively on the use of personal emotional resources. The conduct psychic, along with posthumous symptoms of "burn-out, were often found in people that rescuers were working without a proper psychological preparation, is not always appropriate to the emergency response scenarios.

transpersonal model and method Biotransenergetics

The transpersonal vision and methodology Biotransenergetics are able to provide the theoretical and practical tools for advancing beyond the boundaries of ordinary consciousness.
The transpersonal vision, supported by the new holistic paradigm emerging in the scientific landscape, calls for the full potential of the individual and combines the contribution of evolutionary ancient traditions with the most innovative scientific research.

Under the transpersonal model, the reference methodology is Biotransenergetics, a discipline that teaches the mastery of mental attitudes and emotional states through the inner experience of the different states of consciousness.
also favors strengthening the creative, emotional, relational and intuitive operator, for the benefit of creativity and openness in the intervention field.

theoretical and practical tools will be provided through theoretical and experiential seminars and technical applications, which will be held at the weekend. The main areas of instruction include: keys to understanding, integrating Biotransenergetics; mode again; Art of self-giving. For
'awareness of key' means the map of the structures according to this method of interpretation. 'Integration Biotransenergetics' concerns integrated learning experience, conscious and active, levels: mental, emotional, bodily and spiritual energy. The 'Another Way' is to develop an attitude that encourages a 'natural natural' in response to the stimulus, through additional polarity of transcendence and inclusion of every event. The further way is expressed in seven basic axioms: Look, instead of thinking, Stay, instead of going away, you feel instead of see why; Facts, not problems, to entrust it to control, accept, instead of fighting, liability, instead of delegating. Finally, 'Art of the gift of self' is the use of delicate handling and practices of intervention in terms of energy for the recovery of mental well-being.

COMMUNICATION IN CRISIS In the emerging
What and how you should communicate in an emergency situation? Crisis Management studies agree that the development of an emergency in a disaster or a crisis overcome, depending heavily on the manner in which the persons concerned the deal. In this way the crisis is connected to the needs that generated the event as it unfolds. Among the first the need for information, the greater the more the event is far from the context of the experience of those subjected to it.

Andrea Vitale taking inspiration from authors who work or have worked in different fields of application, by Konrad Lorenz, a pioneer of ethological thinking, Richard Dawkins, evolutionary biologist, Desmond Morris, ethologist and anthropologist, Alice Miller, psychologist and psychotherapist, makes a careful analysis of human behavior and in particular the set of behaviors defined by our culture "education."
